INPEX Inventors University Speaker Romanus Wolter
Romanus Wolter, otherwise known as "the Kick Start Guy", is the author of Kick Start Your Dream Business and is Entrepreneur Magazine's "Success Coach" columnist. He will present his seminar, Kick Start Your Dream Business! Throw out the Business Plan and Take the Next Step on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 10:00 am.
As an American raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Wolter witnessed the birth of a new economy. Watching factories, movie theaters and stores spring up on every corner helped him realize that imagination is limitless and any idea can become a reality.
Wolter returned to the United States in 1982 and received a Masters degree in International Marketing, in 1986. As an entrepreneurial consultant in London and Hong Kong, he learned what it takes for small businesses to expand.
Active in the community, Wolter teaches at San Francisco's largest college. He also serves as the voice of the entrepreneur on the Mayor's Committee for Small Business Loans.
In addition to being a columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine, Be Your own Boss and The Magazine for Working Women, Romanus also has a weekly "The Kick Start Guy" segment on Entrepreneur Radio.
As a national speaker, columnist and radio host, Wolter has helped thousands of people make a living from what they love while having fun.

Inside Inpex: What can a business attendee take away from your presentation and apply to his or her everyday work life?
Romanus Wolter: Their passion forms the foundation for their business and their lives. Attendees will be able to walk away with an instant impact message that will become the foundation for their marketing campaigns. [They will learn] practical ideas on how to research the marketplace so they can find the information they need to succeed and the ability to create a strategy that will keep them going.
II: How could attending a trade show like INPEX help a small business expand?
RW: The resources, contacts and strategies they will learn will help shorten the time it will take for them to move toward their goals. They will also be able to discover companies that have the services and products they need to bring their new products to the market.
II: What invention could you not live without?
RW: I couldn't live without the invention of the word entrepreneur. It means we all have the freedom to pursue our dreams and help others achieve theirs! There are places in the world where people are not free to even speak about their ideas and inventions. Entrepreneur equals freedom. Our purpose in life is to use that freedom to change people's lives, including our own.
