The firm offers integrated services such as: international sales, marketing and distribution, market entry consulting, offshore contract manufacturing, prototyping and international licensing.
Scharf has spent the better part of the last 20 years working in the Asian marketplace and has led market entry initiatives in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.

What main ideas do you hope to convey to your listeners?
1. The world is really one big marketplace, and worthwhile market opportunities beyond U.S. borders do exist.
2. International markets should not be an afterthought.
3.International markets offer vast opportunities for export sales as well as opportunities to source products abroad for sale back to the U.S.
4. Working on an international level has its challenges, but the rewards can be tremendous and the overall experience can be exciting.
What are the greatest challenges in coordinating overseas business ventures and how do you overcome these obstacles?
The biggest challenge in coordinating business overseas is maintaining the forward momentum of projects. Geographic distances and cultural considerations can result in slow or inefficient progress. The best way to combat these obstacles is to pay attention to detail, and to maintain frequent contact with overseas partners.
