Inventors Community Speaker Q & A

Inventors Community: What is the benefit for attendees to participate in a trade show like INPEX?

Eric Hanscom: I think that attendees will benefit in the fact that they will be learning at INPEX. At INPEX, they will run into a wide range of people from whom they can learn many important things.

IC: What do you get out of coming to INPEX?

EC: I made many contacts with inventors, and I am personally handling matters for some of the INPEX inventors right now.

IC: What do you hope that exhibitors will get out of your presentation?

EC: I’m hoping that they learn enough about intellectual property to be able to know what they need to adequately protect themselves when they try to license and market their inventions.

IC: What invention could you not live without?

EC: The airplane. Otherwise, I would get very tired rowing my boat between my offices in California, Hong Kong and Thailand.

IC: You are a champion surfer and kayaker. How has that success translated into your professional life?

EC: In sports, I always tried to break competitive success into subsections, then analyze each and figure out a training program by which I could maximize my potential in each.
