Meet Kim Morilla of IBI Global (INPEX® 2005 Sponsor)

Kim Morilla, founder of Morilla Marketing, is a member of IBI Global. After serving in the United States Merchant Marines, Morilla spent the first decade of his career working in the bar and restaurant business. After an early retirement from that industry, Morilla then dabbled in the construction field using his working knowledge of the plumbing and electrical trades.

He was introduced to IBI in 1997, and has since become an advocate for the company. He volunteers his time to help other entrepreneurs develop their companies by learning new cooperation and communication systems, and motivating them to raise capital. Not only does he help them bring in investors, but he also shares his years of knowledge on business. He believes in teaching entrepreneurs to minimize mistakes and accelerate results, while at the same time sharing his mistakes he's made along the way. He feels sharing his stories can help not only save money but get to an end result faster.

What is IBI Global?
"IBI Global is a company that helps entrepreneurs with their businesses. IBI has a large membership base that works cooperatively with new members. In addition, they offer a variety of programs including free weekly meetings in cities around the country, Free Global Enterprise Programs, and five annual CEO Retreat Programs."

"IBI can offer education and knowledge to inventors. Our membership base can aide inventors in becoming entrepreneurs."

How does IBI Global help inventors?
"Most inventors have an idea, but don't know how to make a business out of it. IBI helps educate inventors about how to form and structure a business, raise capital, and get legal advice." You attended INPEX 2004. What did you think?
"I was impressed! There was a large [demographic] of people and a variety of worthy products. I knew that as a sponsor, IBI and its members could benefit from having INPEX as a resource."

What was your favorite part of INPEX 2004?
"INPEX had a wide array of products. There was everything from the interesting and innovative to the comical and bizarre."

What advice would you give inventors attending INPEX?
"[Inventors] need to decide what they want to do with their invention. Do they want to start up their own company? Are they looking for help from others? How much effort are they willing to put into their invention? Direction is key."
