One Inventive Wish

INPEX and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Little Rock, Arkansas are pleased to have teamed up to make Broderick Alexander's wish come true. Broderick, a 16-year old boy who has been stricken with sickle cell disease, made the trip from Little Rock to Pittsburgh to fulfill his greatest wish, "To be an Inventor for a Day".

Broderick Alexander, with his mom, Linda, after accepting the Future Inventor of the Year Award at INPEXBroderick, who is always coming up with inventions of his own, and his mom, Linda, spent four days at the show meeting with inventors, and also sat in on a few classes in the INPEX Inventors University, a series of seminars, presentations and panel discussions that provide information inventors may find useful in pursuing their ideas.

While at INPEX, Broderick also had the opportunity to attend the closing Awards Dinner Saturday night, sponsored by IBI Global. While there, he had no idea what was in store for him. Thomas Krol and Joseph R. Petrella of IMET Corporation, an engineering firm that specializes in mechanical and electronic technology, presented Broderick with a prototype of one of his many inventions. INPEX and InventHelp also presented Broderick the "Future Inventor of the Year" Award, which will take care of getting him and his mom back to INPEX for a future show to display his invention.

Surprised and elated, Broderick kept a tight handle on his prototype and a tight lip about his idea, only to say, "This was the best night of my life and I'll be back to do it again next year!!"
