Official Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules. The Inpex the Invention Show "Free Booth Giveaway" Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") will begin at 4:00PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on November 15, 2007 ("Sweepstakes Start Date"), and end at 11:59 PM EDT on March 31, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Sweepstakes is sponsored by Technosystems Service Corporation, 217 Ninth Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-3506 ("Sponsor") who is solely responsible for all aspects of this Sweepstakes.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to all legal residents of the 50 United States. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, and possess: 1) a registered US patent, and 2) a prototype or other physical invention. This Sweepstakes is not open to the general public. Employees, officers, and directors of Technosystems Service Corporation, their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all other entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes Entities"), and the immediate family members and members of the same household of any of the above are not eligible to participate.

Two ways to Enter:
1) A person may enter the Sweepstakes by going to http://www.inpex.com and filling out the Sweepstakes registration form with your name, date of birth, address (including ZIP code), home and cell phone numbers, a valid email address and patent number. In addition, the patented or non-patented invention/product must be described in the "Invention Description" field. All online entries must be received by 11:59pm EDT on March 31, 2008. Limit one entry per person/patent/invention. Each qualified entry will be eligible for that month's drawing only.
2) You may enter by hand-printing your name, date of birth, address (including ZIP code), home and cell phone numbers, e-mail address, invention description and patent number on a 3" x 5" card and mailing it in a standard business-size #10 envelope to: INPEX "Free Booth Giveaway" Sweepstakes, 217 Ninth Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-3506. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by the following dates:

  • Postmarked by November 30, 2007 and received by December 7, 2007
  • Postmarked by December 30, 2007 and received by January 7, 2008
  • Postmarked by January 30, 2008 and received by February 7, 2008
  • Postmarked by February 29, 2008 and received by March 7, 2008
  • Postmarked by March 30, 2008 and received by April 7, 2008

Limit one entry per person / patent / invention. Each qualified entry will be eligible for that month's drawing only. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for illegible, damaged, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or postage due mail or entries. Sweepstakes Entities reserves the right to disqualify any person or address suspected of submitting multiple or fraudulent entries or of tampering with the entry process. Incomplete entries, or those containing incorrect information, will be voided. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all such entries as well as the entrant. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.

Internet Limitations of Liability: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sweepstakes Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sweepstakes Administrator and Sweepstakes Entities reserve the right at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of or after (if applicable) this termination or suspension date. Sweepstakes Entities assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITITES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Prizes: There will be Five (5) Grand Prize winners. The Total Prize Pool value is $4,975. Each Grand Prize winner will receive a 5' x 10' INPEX Booth, which consists of the following: 1-4’skirted table, 2-chairs, 110 Volt electricity, 1-booth identification sign, 1-INPEX 2008 official Show Program, 1-judging category in the International Awards Program, 1-ticket to the INPEX 2008 Awards Dinner, and Unlimited Show badges. The Approximate Retail Value of the each Grand Prize Booth is $ 995. The Grand Prize winners will be required to execute a Prize Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release Form. In addition, each Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and agree to all conditions on the INPEX standard booth contract. Should the winner(s) elect not to execute the Prize Affidavit or INPEX Standard booth contract, the respective prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner(s) will be selected. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute any prize package with another prize of equal or greater value.

Drawing and Notification: There will be One (1) Grand Prize winner randomly selected from among all eligible entries received thru the end of each month during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing dates will be on or about: December 10, 2007; January 8, 2008; February 11, 2008; March 10, 2008; April 10, 2008. The random drawing will be conducted by the American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., (the Sweepstakes Administrator), an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The Grand Prize winners will be notified by telephone. Should the Sweepstakes Administrator be unable to contact the Grand Prize winners at the telephone number provided due to the number being out of service, incorrect, disconnected or for any other reason beyond the control of Sweepstakes Administrator, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

Prize Conditions: Prizes are non-transferable; no prize substitution allowed. The Grand Prize Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (where permitted), which must be returned within 14 days of the first notification, or the prize(s) may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. The winner's entry and acceptance of any prize offered constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for INPEX – The Invention Show and Technosystems Service Corporation to use said winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state), in all forms of media worldwide, in perpetuity, without limitation, notice or further compensation.

Terms & Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or in these Official Rules. In addition, by participating in the Sweepstakes entrants agree that they may be contacted by a member of INPEX staff to discuss Sponsor product offerings. By accepting a prize, winner also agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities, individually and collectively, vendors associated with the Sweepstakes, and the respective officers, directors and employees of each of these entities, from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in any part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize awarded, or participation in this Sweepstakes. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Sweepstakes mechanics and/or implementation will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This sweepstakes is void outside the 50 United States, and where prohibited.
