INPEX offers inventors a number of unique opportunities for industry exposure, product searches, education and support, publicity, awards and networking.
INPEX, the invention trade show, brings innovators and industry together under one roof. This gives exhibitors the chance to gain exposure, generate interest and receive feedback for new products and invention ideas. In the past (this is our 25th year), INPEX attendees have included manufacturers, distributors and licensors from a variety of different industries. INPEX will even invite companies in the same product category as your invention to visit the show and review your idea.
In addition to the companies that walk the INPEX show floor, the invention trade show has also hosted a number of corporate product searches. During these searches, inventors have the chance to present applicable inventions to visiting companies to receive feedback and have the inventions considered for addition to their product lines. Past INPEX shows featured product searches by Everlast, Hasbro, The Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, Tupperware, Full Life Products and Irwin Industrial Tools.
INPEX not only gives inventors a chance to meet with representatives from businesses and companies, but also helps exhibitors to learn more about the business, legal and developmental aspects of inventing. The INPEX Inventors University™ features a number of different seminars, presentations and panel discussions geared toward educating inventors. The Inventors Resource Center gives inventors the chance to schedule meetings with representatives from organizations that provide advice and assistance to inventors. And the Intellectual Property, Invention Prototyping and Contract Manufacturing pavilions feature professionals and experts who can answer any questions you may have related to their respective fields.
Inventors who purchase a booth in a timely manner are eligible for participation in our Hometown Publicity Program. If you choose to participate in this program, our publicists will write a press release about your invention, send the release out to newspapers, radio and television stations in your area, and follow up with any editors or producers who express interest. Though publicity is not guaranteed as a result of the release (that is up to editors and producers to decide), in the past our publicity efforts have generated a number of articles, TV news stories and radio interviews. In addition, INPEX will post your press release in our web site News Room.
All exhibitors are eligible to win awards - including medals, trophies and cash prizes. An INPEX award can lend increased credibility and help you gain additional publicity or exposure for your invention. Gold, silver and bronze medals are given out in fifty different product categories, and many of the companies conducting product searches also give out individual awards and prizes. Additionally, each year our international jury selects a Grand Prix award winner, along with first and second runners up. The winner of the Grand Prix receives a $7,500 prize, while the runners up receive $3,000 and $2,000 prizes. We also give out a number of special awards for merit, achievement, excellence and other accomplishments, along with awards for inventors in our international delegations. As an INPEX exhibitor, you will be in the presence of inventors from around the world. Since inventors share a lot of the same experiences and goals, building relationships with your peers can be an enjoyable and informative experience. Many past exhibitors have told us that networking with other inventors was their favorite aspect of the show. Sometimes these meetings can even lead to friendships or business partnerships that last long after the show has ended.
