Maryland Inventor to Exhibit the "Anti-Potty" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Sandria Zimmermann, from Phoenix, Md., has invented an accessory to keep animals from getting into the soil of potted plants. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Small animals seem to have an uncanny way of getting into potted plants, no matter where you place them. Spraying chemicals or using other means to keep them away can harm either the plants or the animals. The "Anti-Potty" would provide a solution to this problem. This accessory would keep animals from digging in potted plants or going to the bathroom in the soil. The "Anti-Potty" would also help assure that water is evenly distributed to the roots of a plant. An additional benefit of the "Anti-Potty" is the use of the innermost segments as the pot's drainage hole cover, which would allow good drainage for the plant with no loss of soil through the drainage hole.

Ideal for use in homes or plant nurseries, the "Anti-Potty" would be round, measuring 12 inches in diameter and having perforated segments for easy adjustment to fit various pot sizes. Weighing approximately 2 ounces, this plastic device would be lightweight and easy to use. A person could apply the accessory to the top of the soil around the potted plant to discourage animals and help control water distribution.

The inventor designed the "Anti-Potty" to help solve a common problem. "Animals were always getting into the potted plants around our home," she said. "Since we didn't want to hurt the animals or the plants, I designed this convenient accessory to keep them out of my plants."

Zimmermann is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a distributor or retailer. Bruce Brenner from RMB Group, LLC is representing the inventor and her invention at INPEX®.
