Toronto Inventor to Exhibit "Baby-Bottle Toothbrush" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Eric Safieh, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has invented a toothbrush that could be attached to any baby bottle, and that babies can use to clean their teeth after feeding from a baby bottle to prevent baby-bottle tooth decay and all other types of tooth decay. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

According to both the American and Canadian Dental Associations, the principal cause of cavities is poor oral hygiene or a lack of brushing with an appropriate oral hygiene device after feeding. This is seen especially in babies and infants. If good oral hygiene is not introduced early, then cavities that develop quickly in babies can also affect the teeth of young children later on. The "Baby-Bottle Toothbrush" would help to promote good oral hygiene from the time the first baby teeth appear. The nipple-shaped brush would work with any baby bottle on the market, and could teach babies to brush on their own. The product could be used to soothe the gums during teething, and would be safe for young children to use. Easy for babies to hold, the Baby-Bottle Toothbrush would be durable, inexpensive and dishwasher or microwave-safe.

The nipple-shaped brush would be made of plastic or rubber that can be sterilized after use. Small, soft bristles or soft, flexible filaments are located on the tip to brush teeth and massage gums. To use, a baby would place the nipple-shaped baby brush in their mouth and slowly move it around their teeth. According to the inventor, this invention would teach them to brush at an early age, and is not only very safe, but also makes brushing a positive experience.

The inventor's career as a dentist caused him to come up with a solution for this common problem. "Babies were getting cavities, and parents were often experiencing problems while trying to prevent this," he said. "The Baby-Bottle Toothbrush solves this problem in a unique and effective way, while encouraging infants to develop good oral hygiene."

Safieh is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer.

INPEX®, The Invention Show, is a unique trade show that showcases new products and innovations that are available to business and industry to manufacture, license or distribute. As part of the event, The Invention Show sponsors INPEX Inventors University™, a series of seminars, presentations, and panel discussions to provide information that inventors may find useful in pursuing their ideas. This year's sponsors include Mainland China Direct, LLC, a company that produces, designs and manufactures original design products for the North American, European and Japan markets.
