Florida Inventor to Exhibit "Brella Bag" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Debbie Hammond, from Orlando, Fla., has invented a bag designed to hold an umbrella. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

When it's pouring down rain, the last thing people can think about is juggling all of their bags and hold an umbrella. The "Brella Bag" holds an umbrella in place, giving the user "hands-free" ability. It enables someone to carry bags, groceries or car seats, and is also useful for walking the dog in inclement weather. According to the inventor, the bag could also be used by people pushing walkers, people in wheelchairs or people on motorized scooters.

Made of nylon, the Brella Bag hooks onto the shoulder and hangs on the opposite hip. A hook and loop fastener clips around the umbrella shaft, and the handle slides down into the bag. An inside pouch is featured for curved umbrella handles, and a pocket with a snap is also included for an umbrella with a shorter shaft. This product is currently being sold at www.brellabag.com. The inventor came up with this invention when her son was a baby. "I could never carry all of my bags or my son, and hold an umbrella at the same time," she said. "Now I use this all of the time at places like sporting events or walking my dog."

Hammond is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a distributor, venture capital or licensee.
