New York Inventor to Exhibit "EZ²" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Darren Moore, from Center Moriches, N.Y., has invented a carpenter's tool that could easily pattern roof rafters. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "EZ²" would help carpenters and contractors quickly and easily mark, measure and layout roof rafters. The invention could be set to any degree or roof pitch, and could also be used as a protractor or a bevel square. The detachable indicator guide could also be used as a T-square. According to the inventor, even people with little or no carpentry experience can use the EZ².

The invention would be made of aluminum, and would resemble the look of a T-square, one side measuring approximately 24-inches and the other measuring 16-inches. The EZ² would feature an indicator arm and a guide to set the desired pitch or angle. To use, an individual would loosen the attached wing nuts and slide the indicator arm to the desired pitch. They could then tighten the wing nuts, and press the indicator guide against the top or bottom of a board. The EZ² would include indicator markings for common rafters, hip/valley rafters, irregular hip/valley rafters and octagonal framing.

The inventor's profession led him to invent the EZ². "I built custom homes for many years," he said. "I invented this tool to make it simpler to layout complex roof rafters. It really made my job easier."

Moore is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer and venture capital.
