Florida Inventor to Exhibit "Face Off Rims" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Gary Severino, from Coral Springs, Fla., has invented vehicle wheel rims that would incorporate a locking mechanism. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Face Off Rims" would help to prevent the theft of wheel rims from a vehicle. These anti-theft rims could not be removed from a car or truck by anyone other than an authorized user. Access to the rims would require a key (specific to each individual set), which would be provided to the owner in case he or she needs to repair or remove them.

The Face Off Rims would be specially designed to receive a locking mechanism. Once applied to the rims, the mechanism would secure them to a vehicle and require a key to disengage. Only with the key could the vehicle owner detach the locking face and remove the lug nuts. Each rim would have a color code in the center, and a personal security number would be required to purchase any additional keys or replacement parts.

The inventor conceived the Face Off Rims based on his personal observations. "A lot of my family and friends have had rims stolen right off their vehicles, and I wanted to do something to help curb this growing problem," he said.

Severino is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer, licensee or importer/exporter.
