South Carolina Inventor Returns to Exhibit "Help Alerter" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that David Meester, from York, S.C., has invented a specially-designed license plate holder that converts into a flashing "HELP" sign. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Help Alerter" will alert motorists of a problem if another person on the road is broken down, being carjacked or has pulled over because of a medical condition. The invention will quickly convert the actual license plate area to a flashing "HELP" sign that will get people's attention quickly and easily. The Help Alerter would reduce the risk of rear-end accidents caused from stranded vehicles being too close to the road, and would not interfere with the actual license plate visibility.

The invention will be made of a heavy-gauge plastic to withstand the weather elements. Easy to install, the "HELP" sign would appear from behind the license plate and begin to flash. The invention is being produced in a battery-powered version.

The inventor created the Help Alerter because of his wife's experience while broken down along the road. "She sat for almost three hours waiting for help because she had no phone service and no one stopped to help her," he said. "I thought that if there was a way to alert people of trouble, they might stop to help."

Meester is returning to exhibit at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer, distributor, venture capital or licensee.
