Kansas Inventor to Exhibit "Mad-Mags" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Julia Barton, from Overland Park, Kan., has invented magnets for use in decorating. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Decorating can be a fun activity, but putting away the old decorations and hanging up the new decorations can be quite a chore. "Mad-Mags" would allow individuals or families to hang and change the decorations with each special occasion or holiday. The invention would eliminate climbing a ladder to put up decorations, and could be used on walls or on ceilings as well.

Mad-Mags would include a kit with decorating design plates and an application tool. To use, the individual would install the design plate where they want the decoration to hang. They could then use the application tool to place the appropriate Mad-Mag magnet onto the design plate. The application tool would also help to hang party decorations in hard-to-reach places. According to the inventor, with just a clip of the magnet, and the click of the magnet onto the design plate, decorating is done quickly and easily.

The inventor came up with this idea because of her occupation as an artist and party planner. "I plan parties and design interiors, and I realized that many people don't use magnets in their home to quickly and easily decorate," she said. "With Mad-Mags, people can change their decorations as often as they want."

Barton is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer or distributor.
