Georgia Inventor to Exhibit "Modern Towel Cape Expo" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Mary Melvin, originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and now from Bogart, Ga., has invented an accessory designed for customers of a beauty salon. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Modern Towel Cape Expo" would help to keep a customer's clothing clean and dry during a shampoo, rinse or hair coloring. This invention could serve as an alternative to traditional towels, which could easily fall off of the customer's shoulders. The two-part design would keep the customer cool and comfortable, and the Modern Towel Cape Expo would be waterproof, durable and resistant to rips, stains and cracks.

The invention would consist of two parts, a cotton, v-neck towel and a vinyl, lined shampoo cape. The towel would fit securely around the customer's neck, preventing skin contact with the cape, and would fasten in the front with a metal fastener. The shampoo cape would then be placed on top of the towel, allowing protective cover from outside and underneath the cape. This would also be fastened with a metal fastener.

The inventor was inspired to come up with the Modern Towel Cape Expo after working as a hair stylist for over 10 years. "While working as a stylist, I've seen many people get their clothing wet or stained with hair color," she said. "I saw a need for an improvement upon the existing capes."

Melvin is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer, distributor or licensee.
