Maryland Inventor to Exhibit "Mutante Satchel" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Kevin Ballentine, from Edgewood, Md., has invented an innovative mobile solution for laptops and other technology devices. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Mutante Satchel" would offer a protective casing, portable desktop and laptop carrier in one convenient unit. Ideal for businessmen and women, frequent travelers and students, this comfortable accessory is designed to go where typical bags cannot - while still providing exceptional protection. The Mutante Satchel could provide a secure way to transport valuable technological equipment, such as laptops, personal digital assistants (PDAs), recording and playback equipment, wireless devices, gaming systems, digital cameras and more.

Made from water-resistant leather for extreme weather protection, the Mutante Satchel would measure approximately 15 inches high and 11 inches wide, and weigh less than 6 pounds. This aerodynamic casing would feature a hard, protective outside and an insulated foam interior. A retractable interior top could be used by individuals on the go as a portable desktop. The satchel also would include an extra-wide shoulder strap, an adjustable waist strap, a detachable cell phone carrier and a pocket to conceal CDs, DVDs or other accessories.

The inventor was inspired to create the Mutante Satchel by a personal experience. "I spent over $2,500 on a new laptop and within two weeks my screen was cracked," he said. "With all the new portable gadgets out there, people like me need an easy way to protect their valuable devices."

Ballentine is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a distributor or venture capital.
