California Inventors to Exhibit "Remember Me" at America's Largest Invention Show
PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Sherry and Michael Campbell, from Stockton, Calif., have invented a board game designed to help children and their families cope with the death of a loved one. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.
"Remember Me" would allow children to remember memories associated with a deceased loved one, and could assist children through the grieving process. This non-competitive game could help families attain a balance between the past, present and future, and would also be an ideal game for someone who has lost a loved one through divorce or war.
The board game would feature many different trivia cards, puzzles, tokens, dice and spinner. Every character in the game would symbolize a feeling: hope, direction, strength, etc. The object of the game would be to complete a picture puzzle of the deceased loved one over the "Trash the Dog" symbol, the dog symbolizing fears and obstacles in daily life. To play, players could roll the dice and move the pieces through adventures around the board to collect puzzle pieces. The game is over when the last puzzle piece is put into place.
The inventors came up with the idea after losing their son. "My son left two small children behind when he passed away," said Sherry. "We wanted to keep his memory alive, so we play the game at home with them. Our memories have become theirs."
The Campbell's are exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer, distributor, venture capital or a licensee.
INPEX®, The Invention Show, is a unique trade show that showcases new products and innovations that are available to business and industry to manufacture, license or distribute. As part of the event, The Invention Show sponsors INPEX Inventors University™, a series of seminars, presentations, and panel discussions to provide information that inventors may find useful in pursuing their ideas. This year's sponsors include Mainland China Direct, LLC, a company that produces, designs and manufactures original design products for the North American, European and Japan markets.
