New Jersey Inventor to Exhibit "Sicilian Edger" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Luis Picado, from Howell, N.J., has invented a pizza tool to make cooking Sicilian pizzas easier. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Baking Sicilian pizzas can be difficult because of their shape. Those preparing the pizza often receive burns from sticking their hands in the oven to prepare the dough. The "Sicilian Edger" would be a pizza tool that could save time and improve the quality of the Sicilian pizza. Easy to use, the tool would come in all standard Sicilian pizza sizes, and would protect a user from burns or injuries associated with this cooking process.

The Sicilian Edger would be made of stainless steel, and would be in the shape of a square. It would also feature an elongated handle to prevent injuries, and to ensure fast and easy use. To use, an individual would press the center of the square onto the prepared dough, and the Sicilian Edger would create the necessary shape for the pizza.

The inventor created the Sicilian Edger because of his profession as a pizza chef. "Pizzerias currently have to manually shape the pizza, making the outer crust by using forks or spatulas," said Picado. "This causes burns or other injuries and is also time-consuming. I use my prototype daily while making Sicilian pizzas, and it works great."

Picado is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer.
