Florida Inventor to Exhibit "Superior Cane Tip" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that David Wainwright, from Lantana, Fla., has invented a self-standing cane tip. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Superior Cane Tip" eliminates the need to bend over to pick up a dropped cane. This lightweight, easy-to-use accessory gives stability and confidence to a person walking with a cane. The Superior Cane Tip fits most standard canes, and adds more traction with less impact. Additionally, this invention allows a cane to stand upright even when it is not in use.

The Superior Cane Tip features a round, rubber base that measures 3-1/4 inches in diameter and 2-1/2 inches high. At a weight of only 5.5 ounces, the Superior Cane Tip has four times the surface of a standard cane tip. An opening in the top of the accessory enables a person to attach it securely to a cane. Once attached, if the cane falls over, a user simply presses on the side of the tip with a foot to return it to an upright position.

The inventor came up with the idea for the Superior Cane Tip based on his observations. "Noticing all the trouble a dropped cane could cause, I decided to do something to make moving around with a cane a little easier for disabled or injured people," he said.

Wainwright is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer, distributor, licensee, importer/exporter, buyer or venture capital.
