New Hampshire Inventor to Exhibit "The Beach Comber Rake™" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Joseph Bramante, from Derry, N.H., has invented a rake that would find small or near-invisible hazards in the sand or water. This patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Families set out for the beach for a day of fun, but they never think about the potential dangers hidden in the sand or in the water. "The Beach Comber Rake™" would be able to find small or near-invisible pieces of glass or other sharp or dangerous objects in the sand or under the water. It could help prevent injuries to small children, and works either on dry land or on the bed of a lake, ocean or river. According to the inventor, The Beach Comber Rake™ could prevent a day at the beach from turning into a day at the emergency room. In addition, the invention could also be used to assist in raking leaves.

Made of metal or plastic, the invention would measure approximately 9-inches high and weigh about 5 lbs. To use, a person would simply rake the sand or the water, and the rake would locate any dangerous objects.

The inventor came up with the idea because he himself lives on a lake and sees these types of injuries annually. "I saw a little girl get her foot cut open one year from a sharp piece of glass," he said. "I use my rake to gather leaves, broken glass and fish hooks out of the lake."

Bramante is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer or licensee.
