Connecticut Inventor to Exhibit "The BowBrella" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Laurie Mathis, from Norwich, Conn., has invented an elongated umbrella that would keep multiple people dry. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

When it rains, people often try to stay dry by crowding under each other's umbrellas. However, most conventional umbrellas aren't even big enough for two people. The "BowBrella" would be a lightweight, elongated umbrella to keep multiple people and pets dry. Ideal for protecting pets while walking in the rain, The BowBrella would also have many additional uses. It can also enhance the area for shade when in the sun, and could be used by golfers or people pushing wheelchairs or used at concerts and beaches.

Made of nylon, this elongated umbrella would measure approximately 52-inches by 30-inches, and would also feature an adjustable pole. According to the inventor, the covering would extend the length of a standard dog leash.

The inventor thought of the idea after her own unfortunate experience in the rain. "I was walking my dog, Charlie, and it started to rain," she said. "When we got home from the walk, I was dry from being underneath my umbrella, but Charlie was soaked. Now, we can stay dry under The BowBrella in all weather conditions."

Mathis is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a distributor or licensee.
