Virginia Inventor to Exhibit "TrailBeacon" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Gary Oliver from Suffolk, Va., has invented a location system. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

With summer approaching, many people enjoy engaging in outdoor activities. Individuals going camping, hiking, caving, exploring, hunting or scouting could use the "TrailBeacon." The TrailBeacon would be an electronic location system that could help people find their way in the woods or outdoors. The unit would be user-friendly and could operate in a wide range of weather conditions. The electronic device could also be used by Search & Rescue Teams when looking for a missing person.

The TrailBeacon would consist of four independent Radio Frequency transmitter/receiver units that could communicate to each on a fixed signal. Each TrailBeacon would have three command functions that could either initiate light, tone or a combination of both to other TrailBeacons within range. Each system would come with four units and a carrying pouch.

The inventor was inspired to think of this invention from personal experience. "I would see kids and adults get lost or turned around in outdoor activities when it could have been prevented," Oliver said. "I invented the TrailBeacon so that people could find their way and stay together while enjoying an outdoor activity."

Oliver is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding exposure, marketing assistance or an investor.
