Michigan Inventor to Exhibit "Tripod Extension Stepladder" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Alan Lo, from Troy, Mich., has invented a stepladder that would convert to create different ladder heights. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

The "Tripod Extension Stepladder" enables users to adjust the ladder to many different heights. Its tripod design would provide more stability, and could also allow someone to use it on an uneven surface. The Tripod Extension Stepladder would include a safety belt for the user to wear to prevent slipping or falling from the top of the ladder. According to the inventor, it's lightweight and easy to carry and store.

The invention would be made of aluminum. It could be used as an 8-foot ladder or, at its full extension, it would provide 12-feet of standing height at its highest, with an 18 1/2-foot reach. It would only weigh 50 lbs., and would hold a working weight of 300 lbs.

The inventor came up with the idea after noticing how high his friend's ceilings were. "My friend has ceilings that are 17-feet high in his home," said Lo. "He couldn't reach the burnt out light bulbs in his ceiling, and I realized that there really isn't a ladder high enough for this type of maintenance. Since a large number of newer houses have high ceilings, there should be a big market for this type of ladder system."

Lo is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a distributor.
