Arizona Inventor to Exhibit "Twin Press, Double Sided Iron" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Joy Plote, from Phoenix, Ariz., has invented a portable, double-sided iron. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Ironing is a chore that not many people like because setting up the ironing board can take up space or be cumbersome to work with. The "Twin Press, Double Sided Iron" would be a double-sided, portable iron that could allow someone to use it anywhere they go. They could use it while traveling, or in their home or office. The double-sided design could allow it to heat quickly, and according to the inventor, ironing would take only moments.

Made of durable plastic and metal, the Twin Press Iron would feature a well in the handle. This well would allow a user to gather the fabric and iron it while the garment is hanging. This eliminates the need to find a flat surface to iron on while away from the home or quickly pressing a garment.

The inventor's profession as a high school teacher inspired the idea. "I was getting ready one day, and I had 'hanger creases' on my pants," she said. "I didn't have time to pull out my iron and ironing board, and I wished that I had something to use that could do the job quickly."

Plote is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a licensee.
