Ohio Inventor to Exhibit "X-Board Illuminator" at America's Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGH... INPEX®, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Scott Cutlip, from Medina, Ohio, has invented a skateboarding accessory that would emit light from underneath a skateboard. This invention will be exhibited at INPEX®, June 6-9, in Pittsburgh.

Skateboarding is a popular sport for children these days, but most parents worry about the dangers of their children skateboarding at night. The "X-Board Illuminator" would fit underneath the skateboard, and would emit light in multiple directions, making the skateboard visible from every angle. The light could either flash or stay on steadily, making it more visible to drivers in the dark. In addition, the illumination could offer "cool" aesthetics for children while skateboarding.

Made of high-impact plastic, LED's and batteries, the X-Board Illuminator would simply screw on underneath the existing board. To use, an individual would simply flip the switch and the lights would turn on.

The inventor came up with the X-Board Illuminator because of his own personal near-collision with a skateboarder. "I almost hit a skateboarder one night with my car because I couldn't see him in the dark," he said. "It was a poorly-lit road, and he really needed to have something to make him stand out so that he was visible to drivers."

Cutlip is exhibiting at INPEX® with the hopes of finding a manufacturer or licensee.
