In April 2015, INPEX acquired a 5 percent interest in the Abu Dhabi Onshore Concession, which contains one of the world's largest deposits of crude oil. Stable production of crude oil is currently ongoing at 11 onshore oil fields, with a combined production capacity of two million barrels per day.
In June 2026, INPEX entered into a concession agreement with its partners for the additional development of the gas cap* in the Bab Oil Field of the Abu Dhabi Onshore Concession.
