October 2002 INPEX joins project
June 2006 Commences crude oil shipments from Ceyhan Terminal

The BTC Pipeline is a 1,770-kilometer-long crude oil pipeline that links Baku on Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea coast and Ceyhan in Turkey on the Mediterranean Sea. The pipeline has been fully operational since June 2006. With a transport capacity of 1.2 million barrels per day, the pipeline transports crude oil produced at the ACG Oil Fields in Azerbaijan.
