INPEX participates in the Rajabasa Geothermal Project in the Republic of Indonesia through its subsidiary INPEX Geothermal, Ltd. which was established with the aim of advancing INPEX's geothermal activities. The Project involves the Rajabasa geothermal block located in Lampung Province in the southeastern part of Sumatra Island, where Sumitomo Corporation and PT Supreme Energy, a private Indonesian geothermal power developer, are jointly conducting exploration activities through their investment in the project company, PT Supreme Energy Rajabasa. We joined the project by acquiring 31.45 percent of the project company's outstanding shares through INPEX Geothermal.
The project has confirmed a certain level of geothermal resource potential through surface surveys and geophysical exploration. Moving forward, it is expected that the expansion and exploration activities will contribute to the growth of geothermal projects in the country.
