October 2013 Production of Ruby Gas Field commenced

In 2010, through its Indonesian subsidiary INPEX South Makassar, INPEX acquired interests in the Sebuku exploration block in the South Makassar Sea. Since the existence of the Ruby Gas Field was confirmed based on the drilling results of multiple exploratory wells and evaluation wells in the Sebuku exploration area, we decided to transition to development in June 2011. Natural gas production commenced in October 2013 and stable operations have since continued. The Ruby Gas Field is located about 300 kilometers south of Balikpapan City, Indonesia, at a depth of about 60 meters.
