Project History

2025 Awarded exploration block, signed production sharing contract

INPEX was jointly awarded rights to explore the Serpang Block located offshore Eastern Java in Indonesia as part of the second Indonesia Petroleum Bidding Round 2024 hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia. In association with this, INPEX signed a production sharing contract (PSC) with the Government of Indonesia and its joint venture partners. The Serpang Block is situated in a location where several oil and gas fields have been discovered, approximately 200 kilometers east of Surabaya, the capital city of East Java Province.

Project History

2025 Bidding for exploration site, conclusion of production sharing contract

INPEX signed production sharing contracts (PSC) with the Government of Indonesia and its joint venture partners for the Gaea and Gaea II blocks located in Papua Barat Province, Indonesia.
The blocks are situated in onshore and offshore areas near the Tangguh LNG plant operated by BP in a region that is expected to hold large-scale gas resources.
