INPEX Corporation (INPEX) has joined the "Chiba Prefecture Corporate Forest Project" promoted by Chiba Prefecture through its wholly owned subsidiary INPEX JAPAN, starting this year with the restoration of forest land at Hasunuma Beach in Sanmu City, Chiba Prefecture, near the INPEX JAPAN Chiba field office.
Chiba Prefecture promotes the Corporate Forest Program, under which companies and organizations engage in forest maintenance activities in prefectural forests as part of their social contribution initiatives. INPEX JAPAN entered into an agreement with Chiba Prefecture for the period from June 13, 2025, to March 31, 2030. Under this agreement, a section of Hasunuma Beach will be designated as INPEX JAPAN Forest, where INPEX JAPAN will contribute to the local community through the restoration of protective forests while fostering environmental awareness among employees.
First Tree planting activity
On October 14, 2025, twelve INPEX employees participated in the first tree-planting activity, planting 200 disease-resistant Japanese black pine seedlings. Despite concerns about rain on the day, all participants worked together efficiently, and the activity was successfully completed.
INPEX will continue to advance biodiversity conservation and sustainability management based on its mission of achieving a nature-positive future.
