INPEX CORPORATION ("INPEX") has been conducting demonstration trials for greenhouse horticulture at the Smart Greenhouse Horticulture Test Facility (the "Facility"), which was constructed at Aglatte Nagaoka, Nagaoka City's next-generation agricultural promotion base facility. INPEX announced today that ownership of the Facility has recently been transferred to Nagaoka City free of charge. In addition, based on our efforts to support the advancement of greenhouse horticulture in Nagaoka City, INPEX has donated to the City through Japan's corporate hometown tax program with the aim of contributing to the development of the local greenhouse horticulture industry and the local community.
The Facility has served as a demonstration site for smart greenhouse horticulture utilizing ICT and other advanced technologies. Through the transfer, the facility and expertise developed through this initiative will continue to be utilized by the local community, contributing to the further advancement of greenhouse horticulture in Nagaoka City.
In addition, through the donation made under the corporate hometown tax program, INPEX has supported Nagaoka City's initiatives related to next-generation agriculture and regional revitalization. This initiative was undertaken to support local communities, a key area of INPEX's contribution activities.
INPEX will continue to advance its sustainability management initiatives.
